   The　department　of　Pediatric　Surgery,　under　the　direction　of　Wang　zuyao　M.D., is　one　of　the　best
equiped　children's　surgery　unit　in　Fujian　Province, It　provides　extensive　clinical　experience　to　ju-
nior　and　senior　residents, as　well as　the　surgeons　for　advanced　studies　from　grass　roots　in　the　p-
ediatric　surgery. Working　closely　with　the　Department　of　Pediatrics,　the　department　of　Pediatric　Sur-
gery　treats　a　wide　variety　of　clinical　problems　in　pediatric　gastroenterology, neonatology,　oncology,　
thoracic　surgery,　nephrology,　and　several　other　specialty areas.　The　department　of　pediatric　surgery
